- Soil Requirements: Adaptable to different soil types prefers well draining soil, does not tolerate wet feet.
- Appeal: The Saucer Magnolia produces large white flowers around five inches in diameter in early spring. Flowers could reach up to ten inches in diameter. The flowers will have slight purple color on the outside petals with white inside. The flowers bloom before the foliage emerges. The foliage will end up dark green and fade to yellow bronze during fall before losing its leaves for winter. Used as a specimen tree in the landscape.
