- Appeal: The Northern Bayberry is a semi evergreen shrub that provides slightly fragrant foliage. The Northern Bayberry can be used as a specimen plant, left alone to be a bushy shrub or it can be pruned to form a hedge barrier. This shrub does produce blue/grey berries during the fall months.
