- Appeal: Venus Kousa Dogwood has prolific large flower bract blooms that can be up to six inches wide. Flowers are white, bloom in late spring to almost completely cover the tree. Flower petals are wide and slightly rounded at the tip. Hybrid cultivar with increased disease resistance and drought tolerance. Foliage will be green throughout spring and summer then fade to red hues for lovely fall color before dropping its leaves for winter. It will produce red strawberry like fruits in summer. Deer resistant and tolerant to juglone.
