- Appeal: The Norway Spruce is an excellent evergreen tree commonly used to create a privacy fence or used for windbreak. The Norway Spruce has dense branching patterns and matures quickly which makes it a good choice for creating large privacy fences. The branches will become more pendulous or drooping with age. This tree has dark green needle foliage and provides year round interest.
